UAB Facilities now has separate service request systems for campus and hospital. The separate and coordinated systems will help ensure timely and efficient service for our diverse customer base. These systems can be found on our Request Services page.
Facilities is committed to excellent service and will ensure your requests are handled by the appropriate team members. While these systems are specific to campus and hospital areas, any incorrectly submitted requests will be moved to the correct system by our dispatch teams.

We’ve included some information about each system below to help you choose the option that pertains to your request.
Campus Services Requests
All requests for service on campus buildings and spaces should be submitted through our campus request system. You must be on the UAB network or using the UAB VPN to access this request system.
Hospital Projects Requests
If you need a project completed on a hospital building or space, you should complete the Hospital Project Request form . Projects are larger tasks including renovations, painting, electrical work, etc. Projects are paid for by the requesting department. This system is maintained by Hospital Facilities.
We encourage any UAB employee or student to submit a request when they see an issue, including light bulb replacements, damage to physical spaces, plumbing issues, general maintenance needs, etc.
This system is also used for project requests, which can include renovations, painting, electrical work, etc. Projects are paid for by the requesting department.
Hospital Maintenance Requests
All requests for service on hospital buildings and spaces should be submitted through our hospital request system.
We encourage any UAB hospital employee to submit a request when they see an issue, including light bulb replacements, damage to physical spaces, plumbing issues, general maintenance needs, etc.
Dispatch Centers
The Facilities Campus Dispatch Center is open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Contact them directly for assistance making a request by calling 205-934-WORK (9675). After hours calls will page the on-call supervisor.
The Facilities Hospital Dispatch Center is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Contact them directly for assistance making a request by calling 205-934-6181.
