Each year the UAB National Alumni Society presents very special awards to recognize the scholastic achievement of our students. The National Alumni Society is committed to providing scholarships for undergraduate, graduate, transfer, first-year, upperclassmen, and international students.
The Graduate Dean’s Scholarship, given by the National Alumni Society, is a campus-wide scholarship and is open to graduate students currently enrolled in a degree-granting program who have demonstrated solid academic promise and leadership qualities, and have at least an overall 3.0 GPA. Students must be enrolled during the Fall 2025 semester. This year, the Graduate School will select three graduate students to receive a one-time scholarship. The scholarship amounts are $2,500, $1,500 and $1,000.
Nominations for the Graduate Dean’s Scholarship require two letters of recommendation, the student’s CV and a completed nomination form. The nomination form is attached. Nominations must be made by faculty members, not students.
