Manager 
Jerad Watson is the manager of UAB HR Learning & Development. In his role, he manages the everyday operations training and professional development of UAB’s staff. Together with his team, Jerad works to determine what the learner wants and needs and how to meet those demands. He is an expert in planning, forecasting, and using technical knowledge to address change.
He comes to L&D with a background and experience in education, technology, and training. Before joining L&D, Jerad was the Senior Instructional Technologist with the Division of eLearning in the Provost office at UAB. Jerad taught computer science in the public education system prior to that.
Jerad has a bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing Education from Auburn University and a master’s degree in Instructional Design and Development from UAB.
He enjoys being outside with his wife and daughter when not at work. Something you might not know about Jerad is that he enjoys high adrenaline sports such as rock climbing, skydiving, or hang gliding.
