Executive Director 
Susan Coan is the Executive Director of Learning & Development. With her team and critical stakeholders, she provides innovative solutions for learning and skills development in a changing world.
She has over 30 years of experience in leadership and organizational development, leadership development, communication skill, team development, and change. Before joining UAB, Susan was an Executive Coach and Leadership Consultant with Lee Hecht Harrison. Susan has a Bachelor of Science in Medical Communication and a Master's in Communication from the Ohio State University. She is a certified facilitator in Disc, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the Hogan Assessment, and the LEA 360 Assessment and Leadership Analysis.
Susan and her husband adore their two human children and two retired Greyhounds.
