UAB IT is making a change to Microsoft Teams meetings to make them more secure.
On Sunday, May 2, at 5 p.m., UAB IT will change the configuration of Microsoft Teams to disable the ability for anonymous users to join meetings.
When this was enabled, attempts would still require the meeting organizer to admit the attendee. Once this is disabled, only authenticated users will be able to use the meeting link to join Teams meetings.
If a meeting requires participants who are not a UAB Teams user or Teams external collaborator, UAB IT recommends you use Zoom for such meetings. To add an external collaborator to Teams, click here.
