Beginning Oct. 25, UAB will make Box AI available for campus Box users, adding another generative AI tool to the list of those to help you streamline your work and spark creativity. 

Box AI has two main functions: chat within documents and content creation in Box Notes.  

When you have a document open, you can tap the AI button to open the chat and ask questions to help you gain insights about the document, summarize it, or get suggestions about it. Box AI only works with documents you own. 

In Box Notes, you can tap the AI button to bring up a window that allows you to write prompts to create content, from an email to a colleague to a chart to compare information. For tips on prompt writing, check out Box’s suggestions, or our video about refining your prompt to get the best result. 

As with any AI tool, users should follow UAB’s AI principles and guidelines.
