Microsoft is updating the search feature in Teams to make it easier to find items in chats and channels. Items searched will pull up in a new panel on the right-hand side, and keywords or phrases used will be highlighted.
To use the new feature, press CNTRL+4 for Windows or CMND+F for Macs. This will pull up a window where you can search for messages, files, and even URLs. If you’re unsure about using a keyboard shortcut don’t worry; in Teams channels, Microsoft is adding a “Find in Channel” button. This one can be found in the channel’s info pane.
The new update will roll out in mid-June through early July 2023. To learn more about Teams, visit the UAB IT website.
