When you call AskIT for help with a telecommunications or networking issue, you’ll now get in touch immediately with an analyst ready to help.
UAB IT has made a process change that allows you to reach a dedicated support team for telecom and networking. Just call AskIT at 205-996-5555 and follow the prompts to reach an analyst.
“Previously, our customers would have to call or submit a ticket and wait for a call back,” said Jamie Witter, director of IT client services. “Now, you can get immediate help from a support team that is dedicated to telecom and network issues.”
UAB IT’s telecom and network support team collectively has 64 years of experience.
AskIT is staffed with telecom support analysts Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
If it’s after hours, you can submit a ticket at uab.edu/techhelp. If you are on the campus network and calling after hours with an urgent request concerning a telephone or a network outage please press 1 and you will be connected to the UAB operators and they will page the Campus Network Technician on call.
