UAB IT will host Amazon leaders and AI experts for a series of meetings Thursday, Aug. 24, on artificial intelligence and its potential for academics, research and medicine.
Meetings will be held at the Hill Student Center Alumni Theater and online via Zoom.
Use cases, demos, and technological capabilities will be covered. The sessions are intended to be very interactive, and attendee input is encouraged.
Sessions include:
- Focus group on academics, 9 to 9:50 a.m. — will address how AI can impact student success, revenue growth, and productivity.
- Focus group on research, 10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. — will address how AI can accelerate research, allow researchers to ask new questions, and enhance research administration operations.
- Focus group on medicine, 11 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. — will address how AI can impact connected patient care, precision medicine and fostering the next generation of medical trailblazers.
All the meetings can be joined via Zoom if you are unable to join in person.
