To help the UAB Toy Drive, UAB Athletics has generously partnered with UAB IT to host a Teddy Bear Toss at the Blazers’ Sunday, Dec. 4, home game against South Alabama at 1pm. 

Anyone who brings a teddy bear or other stuffed animal to the game can get a $10 ticket at the gate and will be able to throw the teddy bear on the court at halftime.   

Santa Claus will be also be at Bartow Arena that day for photos before the game and to help collect the teddy bears at halftime.  

The 29th annual UAB Toy Drive is under way now, with opportunities to give in person at toy drive collection boxes across campus and virtually via wish lists at Amazon and Target. 

UAB IT is also challenging fellow departments and colleges and schools to help us collect at least 50 bicycles. Donate via our special bicycle wish list. 

To further celebrate the season, we’re hosting photos with Santa on Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the TechConnect store at the Hill Student Center. 

The final Toy Drive day is Dec. 14 at Cudworth Hall, when the U.S. Marines will pick up all of the donations for their Toys for Tots drive.
