Protecting the personal information of those in the campus community is a top priority for UAB. 

After an Oracle update last fall, UAB IT teamed up with UAB Payroll to implement a safer way to share important tax information. Social Security numbers are now masked on W2 forms as a preventative measure.  

Online, W2s are no longer published with Social Security numbers, and any extracted by the vendor to be printed are removed as well.  

In turn, this win keeps the community safe and makes sure Restricted information stays stored safely away from vendors.
