Welcome to Information Security-Palooza. October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month, and UAB IT has a number of activities planned to help you learn more about how to protect yourself, and all of us at UAB. Cyber security is a team sport, and we need everyone's help to keep us safe.

Here's what's ahead:

• Join us Friday, Oct. 4, for UAB Staff Council's annual Fall Staff Picnic, where we will have security-related and IT-related giveaways.
• Visit our new Security Awareness Arcade, where you can play any and all of our original games, and hopefully learn a few things about cyber safety along the way.
• Join us at the School of Nursing on Oct. 24 for our Go Phish event, where you can learn phishing tips and find prizes.
• Visit the UAB IT web site for weekly stories about phishing tips, data security, and file sharing.
