When the UAB vendor used to track time for biweekly employees experienced an unexpected outage in late December 2021, UAB’s Payroll and IT teams worked together to make sure employees were paid on time.
The teams revived a legacy timekeeping application, known as TEL, quickly and used it to track time during the outage.
The outage could have caused significant impact on business processes related to biweekly employee payroll, but Payroll and IT worked around the clock to ensure the legacy system was ready to go. Once the Kronos outage was over, the transition back was seamless.
