Starting in mid-January, Copilot for Microsoft 365 will offer several upgrades to enhance user experience and productivity. Copilot for Microsoft 365 is an AI assistant available for a fee for UAB campus faculty and staff.

Copilot is bringing in both free and premium features. Some free upgrades users will see later this month will be prompt autosuggestions, personalized meeting summaries and a new icon. Two features may come with additional fees:

  • The introduction of Agents: Agents are AI assistants that are driven to perform a variety of tasks and help enhance the capabilities of Copilot. Users will be able to create their own agents, which can help automate tasks and streamline workflows.
  • Context IQ menu: An AI powered feature that can make information, people, and conversations easier to access with any activity. CIQ can scan your Microsoft Environment and bring up items that may correlate with the prompt used.
