The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is offering a limited amount of technology equipment at no cost to its staff, faculty, and researchers. These items are no longer needed and are available for anyone who can put them to good use. This is a great opportunity for members of the UAB community to acquire equipment such as printers, cameras, and barcode scanners, without having to spend any money. However, it is important to note that this offer is only available for a limited time and will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The equipment was purchased as part of CARES Act funding during the COVID pandemic, for projects such as lecture capture in classrooms.
To request the technology, fill out one of the forms in the IT Service Catalog:
- Brother monochrome laser printer
- HuddleCamHD all-in-one conference camera
- Zebra wired barcode scanner
Once approval of a request is made, items will be available for pickup within one day at the Administration Building. Equipment should be used for UAB purposes.
