Beginning Oct. 4, 2024, the external message limit will be reduced from 5,000 users per hour to 2,000 users per hour to strengthen UAB’s security posture. This change aims to reduce the risk of spam and potential security breaches, particularly in the event of a compromised account. 

Users per hour applies to all users, not just the number per email.

Users accustomed to sending large volumes of emails externally need to adjust their practices. Internal sending limits will remain unchanged.
