Between 2008 and 2015, Leadership UAB inducted a new dynamic group of 30 business and community leaders, aged 25 to 35 each year. These young professions were selected because of their leadership abilities and community-mindedness. At events held over those years, members had the opportunity to network with other young professionals and community volunteers as well as members of the UAB leadership team to learn more about the exciting research, medical, educational, and entrepreneurial activities taking place at UAB during that time. Through their participation in Leadership UAB, members learned more about UAB’s role in the community and had the opportunity to become actively involved in aspects of the University that interested them.
