#WhyIChoseUAB: Simple - it is where I knew I would be the happiest! At UAB, you have the opportunity to take care of the sickest patients in the country with such incredible autonomy. While at the same time, our program places an emphasis on work-life balance and truly valves the importance of life outside of work.
Fun Fact: I love to bake. Personal favs are homemade cinnamon rolls and lemon ricotta cookies

My neighborhood and why I like it: Bluff Park. Close proximity to the hospital (15 minutes) while having a suburban feel.
Best places for soaking up the local culture: Pepper Place, Back Forty Brewing Co., the Vulcan
Favorite spots for a date night: Bottega, Automatic Seafood, Bistro 218, Helen, Hot and Hot, Ovenbird
Favorite places to take guests: Birmingham Barons game at Regions Field, any UAB athletic event, all the above restaurants
Best park, trail, or golf course/Where I take in the scenic views: Red Mountain, Oak Mountain, any of the Robert Trent Jones courses
Why I like Birmingham: The food, the food, the food. My goodness - there is a reason why it's called the Dinner Table of the South.
