What do I need to know about UAB Campus IT's New VPN? (effective Jan 31, 2021)
- UAB IT has replaced it with a newer version (called UAB2FAVPN) that will work in conjunction with your Duo two-factor authentication. Users can switch over the new VPN service anytime. At the moment, UAB2FAVPN blocks access to local network devices at your home such as wireless printers. There have been reports of it not working with Telehealth as well. UAB IT is aware of these issues and has plans to remedy them by 29-Jan-2021. Any information related to Campus VPN and this announcement can be found at uab.edu/vpn.
- For DUO account setup, please contact ASKIT (askit@uab.edu or 205-996-5555). Visit uab.edu/2factor for more information.
