On Tuesday night, the Department of Medicine gathered at Regions Field to watch the Birmingham Barons take on the Tennessee Smokies. We were thrilled to see so many smiling faces, enjoy the companionship of co-workers, and witness the heartwarming sight of kids taking photos with Barons’ mascot Babe Ruff. This year, the Department gave away 800 tickets, 500 fans, and provided picnic supper for everyone at center field. Not only did the Barons close out the evening with a 7-6 win, but everyone on the DOM team took home an experience of camaraderie and connection among colleagues.
