The UAB Health System has selected Brenda Carlisle and Susan Jennings to fill two senior positions in its leadership team. Carlisle (left) has been named chief executive officer of UAB Hospital, and Jennings (right) has been named chief financial officer for the Health System. Both women have served in health care management for over 30 years. Together, they are poised to address the many opportunities and challenges UAB faces.

Anoma Nellore, M.D., (Assoc. Professor, ID) and colleagues have identified a new subset of memory B cells that predict long-lasting antibody responses to influenza vaccination. Findings may aid in the development of more effective annual flu vaccines.
