Dr. Asif is the Chair of the UAB Department of Family and Community Medicine and is a team physician for UAB Athletics and Birmingham Legion FC Soccer Team. He recently completed a four-year term on the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) Board of Directors (2015-2019).

Dr. Cohen is a dietitian and researcher whose focus is weight control for the prevention and management of chronic disease. She has a passion for nutrition counseling and enjoys helping people understand the important role of food in achieving their health goals.
Joseph Coppiano, M.D.
Sports Medicine Physician
A UAB Cross Country and Track & Field team physician, Dr. Coppiano is passionate about education, running medicine, nutrition/exercise prescriptions, and ultrasound-guided procedures. He currently serves as the Medical Director for the Comprehensive Urban Underserved and Rural Experience (CU²RE) Program.

Dr. Crockett is a clinical health psychologist and clinical scientist. Crockett's research focuses on the social and behavioral processes of chronic illness.

A team physician for UAB Athletics and Birmingham Legion FC, Dr. McKeag is board certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. He has a passion for education, injury prevention, and musculoskeletal ultrasound. He currently serves as the program director for UAB’s Sports and Exercise Medicine Fellowship Program.
