The main objective of the course is to familiarize participants with the clinical presentations of dermatologic tropical diseases and to build their knowledge of epidemiology, laboratory, histopathology, and principles of therapy for such diseases.
Our aims are:
- To expose our students to a broad spectrum of tropical diseases with dermatological manifestations and provide them with the foundational clinical knowledge and skills needed to recognize, diagnose, treat and prevent them.
- To advance the knowledge of the dermatologic manifestations of tropical diseases among health care providers in a multicultural educational program, in order to improve the prompt diagnosis and treatment of these diseases.
- To foster a network of experts committed to addressing the gaps in tropical medicine within the field of global health.
