Immunology Institute (II) membership is open to faculty, including basic scientists, clinicians, translational researchers, physician scientists and educators of UAB-affiliated campuses, who have a desire to understand how the immune system develops and functions to promote health and well-being. We also welcome postdoctoral researchers, graduate and undergraduate students as trainee members.

As a member of Immunology Institute, you will

1. Have the opportunity to participate and lead research working group initiatives, collaborative think tanks, annual thematic symposia and retreats, and pilot funding releases
2. Have access to II sponsored equipment, facilities and resources (more to come on these exciting opportunities such as the Immune-phenotyping and functional core)
3. Receive assistance with large immunologic program and training applications
4. Be eligible to apply for annual II-sponsored Seed Grants and Young Investigator awards
5. Participate in community outreach to enhance our community’s understanding of their immune system and how immune-based therapies are revolutionizing treatment of many diseases
6. Be listed on the II website, which links to the II twitter and news feed, schedule of upcoming seminars, highlighted UAB immunology discoveries and featured investigators, and information on UAB immunology education programs
