The UAB Microbiome Center seeks to disseminate knowledge and promote breakthrough research on the human microbiome and its consequence. The intent is to do so across all of UAB, and to all interested parties in our community and other research institutes. Ideally, serving as a scientific hub for investigators to exchange new ideas and findings. Our efforts to do so include The UAB Microbiome Center Symposium, support for microbiome-related speakers at seminar series hosted by departments and other centers at UAB, and courses focused on the microbiome to undergraduate and graduate students.
