We will have three days of events for UAB Goes Gray in May 2025 for brain tumor awareness month. The 3rd Southeastern Brain Tumor Research Meeting (SBTRM) will be held at the UAB Hill Center on Thursday, May 15th. ( Registration Link ) The UAB FamilyStrong Meeting for Brain Tumor Patients and Caregivers will be held at the Hill Center on Friday, May 16th. The Blazer Bolt for brain cancer research will be held at Railroad Park on Saturday, May 17th. We invite you to participate in any or all of these important events!

The Southeastern Brain Tumor Research Meeting (SBTRM) seeks to build lasting collaborations among investigators in the southeastern United States whose research focuses on adult and pediatric brain tumors. The SBTRM will prioritize paired oral presentations from a mentor and trainee with additional opportunities for trainees to serve as session moderators. In addition to oral presentations, all registered trainees are being encouraged to participate in the competitive poster session. Judges will choose outstanding oral presentations and posters for awards. Our last meeting had over 90 participants with presentations from faculty and trainees at UAB, UGA, UFL, Emory, ETSU, Moffitt, UNC-CH, Duke, and Virginia Tech.

Trainees participating in the SBTRM are encouraged to present at the UAB Family Strong Meeting for Brain Tumor Patients and Caregivers. A separate registration is required ( Link ) . Trainees should present a poster for the lay audience to best convey their research to the patients and their family members.
