Fifteen providers from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Neurosurgery have been honored by the UAB Office of Patient Experience and Engagement for their exceptional patient care during fiscal year 2024.
This recognition places them among the top-performing physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) within the UAB Medicine community.
These providers achieved a remarkable satisfaction rating of 95 percent or higher based on feedback collected through Medallia, a patient experience survey tool used to assess the quality of care delivered.
Patients rated their experience based on several critical aspects of care, including the providers' ability to listen carefully, demonstrate genuine care and concern, provide clear and understandable explanations, involve patients in healthcare decisions and an overall care rating on a scale of 0 to 10.
Across UAB Medicine, a total of 446 providers were recognized for their outstanding contributions to patient care.
