For board-certified physicians, the Best Hospitals rankings are a unique opportunity to acknowledge institutions that excel in patient care, innovation and clinical excellence. The 2025 voting period opened on February 20 and will run through March.
Before casting a vote, here are five things to know:
Who can vote
Physicians who are board certified in one or more of the ranked specialties and registered on Doximity are eligible to participate in the upcoming Best Hospitals survey. Participating providers can vote for one or multiple hospitals, and every vote counts toward a hospital’s reputation score.
How to vote
To ensure eligibility, physicians should verify that their Doximity account is active and up to date with current licenses and certifications. If you haven’t claimed your Doximity profile, visit Doximity.com and click “Find My Profile.” During the voting period, registered users should watch for an email from Doximity. However, even if an email is not received, eligible physicians can access the survey by simply logging into their accounts.
When voting happens
Best Hospitals voting typically opens in mid- to late February and will remain open through March.
Why your vote matters
Votes, which are kept confidential, contribute to the reputation score and significantly influence the overall hospital rankings. By participating, physicians help highlight hospitals leading in research, innovation, and exceptional patient care. These rankings play a crucial role in helping patients navigate their healthcare options.
Stay informed before you vote
