The twelfth annual Blazer Bolt for Brain Cancer 5K and Fun Run will be held on Saturday, May 17, at Railroad Park in Homewood, Alabama.

Proceeds from the event, sponsored by Blazer Bolt Inc., will be donated to support brain cancer research and patient support services at the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Division of Neuro-Oncology and Children’s of Alabama’s Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Program.

Brain cancer affects people of all ages, from young children to older adults. It occurs when abnormal cells grow in the brain, impacting essential functions like memory, speech and movement. Treatment is often complex, requiring surgery, radiation or chemotherapy. Events like the Blazer Bolt help fund research and patient care, providing hope for those fighting the disease.
