The UAB Department of Neurosurgery held its 35th Annual J. Garber Galbraith, M.D., Scientific Session and Lecture on Nov. 9 in the West Pavilion Conference Center.
Frederick A. Boop, M.D., chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and chief of pediatric neurosurgery at St. Jude’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, served as this year’s J. Garber Galbraith, M.D., lecturer. The event started with Neurosurgery Grand Rounds on Thursday, Nov. 8, at UAB’s Faculty Office Tower and ended with a dinner and reception at The Florentine on Friday night.
“The Galbraith event showcases exciting research being done by our residents,” said UAB Professor of Neurosurgery Kristen Riley, M.D. “We are extraordinarily busy clinically, and it is nice to see such productive work on the research side, as well.”
