To invest in its mission and in professional development, the UAB Department of Neurosurgery hosted a training session led by KarenZupko & Associates (KZA), national experts in medical coding, for all faculty, residents, advanced practice providers and the neurosurgery coding team.
 
Course attendees received a proprietary coding book from KZA that will serve as a helpful resource for coding questions. 
 
“This detailed course of training served as an overall refresher for those who have been coding their entire career and an accelerated training for many of our new coders and providers,” said Department of Neurosurgery Executive Administrator Donna Bailer.
