Robbie Burrell, MPA, joins the UAB Department of Neurosurgery as program manager II.
 
Burrell earned her bachelor's degree from Alabama A&M University in 1993 and her Master of Public Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2004. 
 
As an experienced administrative professional, Burrell brings a wealth of knowledge of business operations in academic settings and research and clinical environments.
 
Throughout her career at UAB, which spans over 29 years, Burrell has served as business officer II in the School of Dentistry and as administrative director I in the Heersink School of Medicine’s Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics. In 2004, Burrell was honored as UAB Employee of the Year.
 
Burrell actively volunteers in homelessness initiatives and is a community advocate with an emphasis on continuing education. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, shopping, couponing and traveling.
