Michelle Flores will join the UAB Department of Neurosurgery on Aug. 21, 2023, as a healthcare management intern.

Flores, a first-generation college student, is a senior at UAB and will be graduating at the end of the year. After graduation, she plans on attending nursing school.

She currently works at an ophthalmologist office as a technician and enjoys working with patients.

In her free time, Flores enjoys going on hikes with her dog and spending time with family and friends.
