The UAB Department of Neurosurgery welcomes Kristen Betts, FNP, and Savanah Kirchner to the team, effective Oct. 3.

Kristen Betts - family nurse practitioner, Greystone location

Betts will join the Department on Oct.3. In 2012, graduated from the University of Alabama with her bachelors of science in nursing before working in an ICU and orthopedic PACU. In 2018, she completed her master's at UAB and has worked in urgent care ever since! In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband and eight-year-old daughter. In addition, she has a passion for cooking, spending time outdoors, and cheering on Alabama football!

Savanah Kirchner - communications specialist

Kirchner will join the department on Oct. 3. She is a proud graduate of Auburn University where she earned her bachelors in liberal arts and public relations. Kirchner began her career in the construction industry, gaining experience in communication and marketing. She loves to visit the beach and spends a lot of time reading, walking her dog, and searching for new gluten-free recipes.
