Julia Salamone began her career at UAB as a bedside nurse in the neuro-ICU and later transitioned to the neuro-critical care team as an advanced practice provider after completing her master’s degree. Salamone now serves the department as an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner.

She and her husband briefly lived in Indiana where she worked in the medical ICU at Elkhart General Hospital. After moving back to Birmingham in 2021, the Salamone family welcomed their first son that December.

Salamone is passionate about her family, obsessed with her son, loves practicing hot yoga and looks forward to building relationships with patients in her new role in the clinic.
