Viktoriia Teshchuk, Ph.D., joins the UAB Department of Neurosurgery as a researcher III.
Teshchuk, originally from Ukraine, graduated from the National Medical University in 2008. In 2010, she received a specialization in neurology, and in 2015, one in physical therapy. In 2019, she earned her doctorate. She has experience working with neurological patients in a clinical setting.
In her role, Teshchuk will work with tissue and tumor samples for brain tumor research and on genetics and oncolytic viral study research projects.
Teshchuk moved to Vestavia in 2022, where she lives with her husband, son and dog, Lucky.
In her free time, she enjoys cooking, photography, reading, drawing and spending time with her family.
