University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Neurosurgery Assistant Professor Jakub Godzik, M.D., MS, presented at the 2023 Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) Annual Meeting in Washington D.C. on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023.
 
Godzik delivered his presentation, “Enabling Technologies for Operational Safety” during the “Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves Bundle” symposium. 
 
His presentation, which focused on the use of technology in medicine, highlighted the benefits, such as increased operational efficiency, related to using virtual reality in preoperative planning and in training the next generation of neurosurgeons. 
 
This CNS course was designed for healthcare providers who aim to increase their knowledge and skills of the lateral approach to the spine and leverage innovative technology in their practice.
