The UAB Department of Neurosurgery held its 36th Annual J. Garber Galbraith, M.D., Scientific Session and Lecture on Nov. 8 in the West Pavilion Conference Center. The Galbraith Lecture is given by a visiting neurosurgeon who has made significant contributions to the field of neurosurgery, while the Galbraith Scientific Session highlights the research and achievements of past and present UAB neurosurgery residents.
Douglas Kondziolka, M.D., vice-chair of the Department of Neurosurgery and director of the Center for Advanced Radiology at New York University Langone Medical Center, served as this year’s J. Garber Galbraith, M.D., lecturer. The lecture and scientific session concluded with a dinner held for UAB Department of Neurosurgery faculty, residents and guests.
