The assistant dean for students reports to and works closely with the associate dean for students by partnering with him to provide career support, professional development and advising services for students during their 3rd and 4th years of medical school training as a part of the Medical Student Services leadership team. The Office of Medical Student Services fosters the personal, academic and career success of all medical students by providing a full range of high quality services and resources that are aligned with student needs along our main service pillars: wellness, career advising and professional development, academic success, advocacy and organization and event support. The office employs varied strategies from exceptional individualized advising to forward-facing programming to support students as they become physicians. The Assistant Dean will also have the unique opportunity to help with a strategic restructuring of the Office of Medical Student Services to meet the changing medical education climate.
