Congratulations to Zoë Julian, MD, MPH, and team on being awarded the full requested amount of $10,000 by the UAB Center for the Study of Community Health (CSCH) for her 2020 Community Health Scholars proposal.
The CSCH plays a key role in the development of community based participatory research (CBPR) at UAB. Dr. Julian’s 2020 Community Health Scholars proposal, “From Day One – The Impact of Community Health Workers on Preterm Birth in Jefferson County,” was very favorably reviewed for its relevance to the Center’s mission and strong potential for community impact.
"I'm very hopeful it will lead to meaningful data for From Day One and other local community-based programs in perinatal health,” said Julian.
