In 2019, UAB had more than 1,100 employees eligible for service award recognition. Eight of those recipients include faculty and staff from the Department of Otolaryngology.
Of those eight, four are invited to join the 285 other employees with 20 or more years of service at the annual Service Awards Program luncheon, starting at noon March 6 in the Hill Student Center third floor ballroom.
Those recipients include Associate Professor Artemus Cox, MD, FACS and Administrative Associate Alice Rhodes for dedicating 20 years to UAB. Clinical Care Coordinator Erica Lee, RN, MSN, MT (ASCP) is being honored for 25 years of service. Professor Glenn Peters, MD, FACS, is also being honored at the luncheon for dedicating 35 years to UAB.
Other recipients receiving recognition include Clinical Trials Administrator Debbie Lowman, who has 10 years of service. Associate Professor Do-Yeon Cho, MD, MS, Assistant Professor Benjamin Greene, MD, and Research Technician Daniel Skinner are 5 years of service honorees.
The UAB Service Awards honors those employees who have made a significant career commitment to the University of Alabama at Birminghman. The program is designed to recognize and express appreciation to employees who have reached milestones.
