The ILD Conference 

This conference, coordinated by Drs. Joao de Andrade and Joseph Barney, is attended by the Pulmonary Fellows and faculty from the Interstitial Lung Disease Program and the Departments of Radiology and Pathology. It is held every other Thursday in the Division Conference Room (Tinsley Harrison Tower Room 428) from 07:30 - 08:30 am. This is a faculty-driven case presentation and is aimed at exposing Pulmonary Fellows to issues pertaining to the diagnosis and management of Interstitial Lung Diseases. This conference is open to physicians from the community.

The Mary P. Kennedy Patient Support Group 

The Mary P. Kennedy Patient Support Group has met quarterly since 2002 and is co-sponsored by the UAB ILD Program and the Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis. The meetings are open to patients, their families, caregivers, and anyone interested in sharing experiences and learning about interstitial lung diseases, particularly idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. The main objective of this support group is to provide patients and their loved ones with educational resources, support, and an opportunity to share experiences with each other. We always invite a speaker on a topic of interest to our patients.
