Erin earned her undergraduate degree in Human and Organizational Development and Managerial Studies from Vanderbilt University. She completed her Masters of Business Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
She joined UAB Hospital in 2013 as the first manager of the Hospitalist Service. Over the course of her tenure with oversight of that department, she grew the service from an average daily census of 80 patients to where it is today, a 24/7 service with over 135 employees, serving up to 350 patients per day and accounting for roughly 20% of UAB’s total inpatient volume. In 2017, she led a complete redesign of the Hospitalist Service, rebranding it to UAB Hospital Medicine, and redefining physician compensation, staffing and operations.
Since 2017, Erin has assumed progressive responsibility for additional programs and services at UAB. Today, she serves as an associate vice president within Clinical Operations for UAB Hospital, overseeing Radiology, Graduate Medical Education, Palliative Care, Clinical Ethics Program, and the Spiritual Health department. She serves on a variety of institution-wide committees and teams, including the Diversity Council, the Employee Experience Steering Committee. Additionally, she co-chairs the Hospital Operations Council and serves as the executive sponsor for the Women’s Resource Group.
Jeff McGough, MSHA, CRA

Jeff McGough is a native of Alabama with over 20 years of experience in healthcare specializing in the imaging sector. He earned a Masters of Healthcare Administration and a B.S. in Healthcare Administration from UAB. He holds an associate’s degree in radiological science, where he has certifications in diagnostic radiology and computed tomography. Jeff is also a certified radiology administrator through the Association for Medical Imaging Management (AHRA).
Jeff began his career as a computed tomography technologist but later got into management and now serves as one of the operational radiology directors for UAB Medicine. His ultimate goal is to provide the best patient experience possible in the most fiscally responsible way.
Morgan Gaghen, MSHA, MBA

Morgan Gaghen serves as the Senior Director of Imaging for Inpatient and Emergency Department Services in addition to her role as Director of Operations for UAB Hospital-Highlands, a 110-bed acute care facility with 16 OR surgical suites, a Level 3 ED, and a 12-bed ICU. She holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Health Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Originally from Gadsden, Ala., Morgan joined UAB Hospital in 2013 as an Occupational Therapy Assistant before completing her Bachelors in Healthcare Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She completed a two-year administrative fellowship with UAB Hospital in 2021. During her time at UAB Medicine, she’s had the opportunity to work with multiple areas of hospital operations including Supply Chain & Support Services, UAB Hospital-Highlands, the COVID-19 command center and emergency response, imaging, the Center for Patient Flow, and the Cardiovascular Institute.

Terri Franklin is local to Birmingham and has over 25 years of experience in healthcare. She has earned her Master's degree in Health Informatics from UAB and a B.S. in Radiologic Technology from Advent College. Terri is ARRT registered in diagnostic radiology and computed tomography

Kecia Thompson has over 20 years of experience in healthcare, specializing in radiology. She earned a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration and a B.S. in Radiologic Sciences from UAB. Kecia is ARRT registered in diagnostic radiology and magnetic resonance imaging and is certified as a Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer (MRSO).
