UAB radiology residents enjoy their own library, and a computer education room that contains three PCs. A private radiology resident lounge is available. Our conference room has an overhead and closed circuit projection system linked to a computer and display podium that is capable of projecting radiographs, video, and computer-based presentations. An audience response system is available for use thus making resident lectures more interactive.  There are two dedicated private call rooms, each contain a full PACS unit with voice recognition software, a PC, and phone. In addition, a secure radiology resident intranet web page has been developed to centralize important and useful information for the residents.
