Lisa Antoine, Ph.D.
Dr. Antoine earned her Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Engineering from UAB in 2020. She is currently performing her postdoctoral research under the mentorship of Nina Kraguljac, M.D., Assistant Professor of Medicine, developing advanced analytics for diffusion imaging, including Neurite Orientation Dispersion and Density Imaging, and probabilistic tractography.
Lillian Brady, Ph.D.
Dr. Brady earned her Ph.D. from UAB Graduate Biomedical Sciences in 2017. She was an NIH MOSAIC K99/R00 Postdoctoral Scholar at Vanderbilt University. In 2023, Dr. Brady joined the UAB Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology as an Assistant Professor.
Nicole Corbin-Stein, Ph.D.
Dr. Corbin-Stein (née Gallups) earned her Ph.D. in 2024 from the GBS Genetics, Genomics, and Bioinformatics Theme. She is currently a postdoctoral scholar at Yale in the lab of Dr. Le Zhang.
Katelynn Corder, Ph.D.
Dr. Corder earned her Ph.D. from UAB Graduate Biomedical Sciences in 2018. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Biology at Samford University.
Rose Creed, Ph.D.
Dr. Rose Creed is an NIH/NINDS K00 postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, San Francisco, in the laboratory of Alexandra Nelson, M.D., Ph.D. Dr. Creed earned her Ph.D. from UAB in 2020.
Heather Dark, Ph.D.
Dr. Dark earned her Ph.D. from the Medical-Clinical Psychology Program in 2021. She is currently an IRTA Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institute on Aging (NIA).
Thomas DeRamus, Ph.D.
Dr. DeRamus earned his Ph.D. in 2017 from the UAB Psychology-Behavioral Neuroscience Program. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at TReNDS Center & Georgia State University from 2019-2022. Dr. DeRamus is currently a Data Analyst at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Corey Duke, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Corey Duke earned his Ph.D. in 2020 and his M.D. in 2022. He is currently a Child Neurology Resident at Boston Children's Hospital.
Mariana DuPont, Ph.D.
Dr. DuPont received a BS in Biology from Dillard University in 2017 and a Ph.D. in Vision Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2022. She is performing her postdoctoral research under the mentorship of Burel Goodin PhD, Associate Professor of Psychology, conducting laboratory-based pain research in patient cohorts. Dr. DuPont is a VESGEN expert and an IRACDA-MERIT Postdoctoral Scholar.

Dr. Leland Fleming earned his Ph.D. from the UAB Graduate Biomedical Sciences Neuroscience Theme in 2021. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard/McLean Hospital.
Shannon Gilstrap, Ph.D.
Dr. Gilstrap earned her Ph.D. from the Behavioral Neuroscience Program in 2024. Dr. Gilstrap is currently an Assistant Professor at Samford University.
Mikael Guzman-Karlsson, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Guzman-Karlsson is currently a resident in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities in the Division of Pediatric Neurology and Developmental Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine.
Nathaniel Harnett, Ph.D.
Dr. Harnett earned his Ph.D. from the Behavioral Neuroscience Program in 2018. He is currently Director of the Neurobiology of Affective and Traumatic Experiences Laboratory at McLean Hospital and an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Hightower earned her Ph.D. from the GBS Neuroscience Theme in 2021. She is currently the Managing Owner of The Lumbar in Birmingham, AL.

Dr. Hobson-Bell earned her Ph.D. from the Behavioral Neuroscience Program in 2024.
Indonesia Jordan, Ph.D.
Dr. Jordan earned her Ph.D. from the Behavioral Neuroscience Program in 2024. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Wake Forest University.
Annesha King, Ph.D.
Dr. King earned her Ph.D. from the UAB Graduate Biomedical Sciences Neuroscience Theme in 2021. Dr. King is currently an IRACDA-MERIT Postdoctoral Fellow at UAB performing her postdoctoral research under the mentorship of Dr. Nicole Riddle, elucidating chromatin structure in Drosophila.
Maria Lechtreck, Ph.D.
Dr. Lechtreck earned her Ph.D. from the Behavioral Neuroscience Program in 2022. She also earned graduate certificates in Teaching & Learning and Mentoring & Leadership. She is grateful for the support RMS leadership provided that allowed her to successfully pursue and complete her degree despite her invisible disabilities. Dr. Lechtreck is currently a Teaching Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Salvador Lopez, Ph.D.
Dr. Lopez graduated from the Behavioral Neuroscience Program in Fall 2022. Currently, Dr. Lopez is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Auckland in New Zealand.
Casey Mahoney-Crane, Ph.D.
Dr. Mahoney-Crane earned her Ph.D. from the GBS Neuroscience Theme in 2024. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute on Aging (NIA) in the lab of Dr. Mark Cookson.
Jose Maximo, Ph.D.
Dr. Maximo earned his Ph.D. from the Developmental Psychology Program in 2018. He currently works as a Scientist II in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology at UAB. He is a recipient of the 2023 Young Alumni Rising Star Award from the UAB National Alumni Society.

Jerome Moulden, Ph.D.
Dr. Jerome Moulden earned his Ph.D. from the UAB Graduate Biomedical Sciences Immunology Theme in 2021. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the lab of Dr. Staci Bilbo at Duke University. Dr. Moulden is currently an Assistant Professor of Neuroscience at North Carolina A&T State University.

Dr. Pacheco graduated with a Ph.D. from the Graduate Biomedical Sciences Program in 2018. Dr. Pacheco is currently a Scientific Project Manager at the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research.

Dr. Phillips earned her Ph.D. from the GBS Neuroscience Theme in 2024. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Georgia.
Megan Rich Hu, Ph.D.
Dr. Rich Hu completed their Ph.D. in the Graduate Biomedical Sciences Program in 2020. Until 2022, Dr. Rich Hu worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Neurobiology at UAB. Currently, Dr. Rich Hu works for Recruitomics Consulting.

Dr. Samani earned her Ph.D. from the Graduate Biomedical Sciences Program in 2022. She is currently a Medical Science Liaison for ITF Therapeutics.
Richard Sanchez, Ph.D.
Dr. Sanchez earned his Ph.D. from the Graduate Biomedical Sciences Program in 2019. Dr. Sanchez is currently a Postdoctoral Scholar and IRACDA Fellow in the Pekkurnaz Lab at the University of California, San Diego.
Kirsten Schoonover, Ph.D.
Dr. Schoonover earned her Ph.D. from the Behavioral Neuroscience program in 2019. She was a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh. In August 2023, Dr. Schoonover joined the UAB Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Neurobiology as an Assistant Professor.
Silvienne Sint Jago, Ph.D.
Dr. Sint Jago earned her Ph.D. from UAB Graduate Biomedical Sciences in 2023. She is currently a postdoc with Dr. Thomas Buford at the Center of Exercise Medicine in the Division of Gerontology, Geriatrics, and Palliative Care at UAB.
Christian Stackhouse, Ph.D.
Dr. Stackhouse earned his Ph.D. from the UAB Graduate Biomedical Sciences Neuroscience Theme in 2020. He was a postdoctoral researcher at Duke University from 2020-2022. Dr. Stackhouse currently works in Competitive Strategy Consulting in Life Sciences with the Sedulo Group.
Larissa Strath, Ph.D.
Dr. Strath earned her Ph.D. from the Behavioral Neuroscience Program in 2021. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Florida's Pain Research and Intervention Center of Excellence.
Matthew Timberlake, Ph.D.
Dr. Timberlake earned his Ph.D. in Behavioral Neurobiology from UAB in 2019. He focused on understanding the mechanisms of depression. Later that year, he pursued a postdoc at UC Davis. In 2021 he worked for the company Novogene. He is currently a Sr. Scientist with the company Marin Biologic Laboratories in Novato, CA.

Dr. Tiffany Tucker earned her Ph.D. from the Medical-Clinical Psychology Program in 2024. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow in clinical neuropsychology at Texas Children's Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine.
