This year, the UAB Department of Surgery’s Abdominal Transplant Fellowship welcomes Saulat Sajjad Sheikh, M.B.B.S., who joins UAB from York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania, where she completed her general surgery residency. The fellowship’s outgoing fellow, Alexandre P. Ancheta, M.D., leaves the Abdominal Transplant Fellowship program for the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
