The UAB Department of Surgery invites all attendees of this year’s American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress in Boston, Massachusetts, to a cocktail reception and silent auction, beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 22 at the Seaport Hotel, Lighthouse 1.

Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on three prizes:

1. Two tickets to any 2019 University of Alabama football game, donated by UAB School of Medicine Dean Selwyn Vickers, M.D.
2. Two tickets to select 2019 Auburn University football games, donated by UAB Department of Surgery Chair Emeritus Kirby I. Bland, M.D.
3. One round of golf at Old Overton Golf Club in Birmingham, Alabama, donated by UAB Department of Surgery Chair Herbert Chen, M.D.

All proceeds will benefit the Mark H. Deierhoi, M.D., Endowed Professorship in the Department of Surgery.
