The Division of Gastrointestinal Surgery’s Daniel Chu, M.D., recently served as the editor of the December 2018 issue of Surgical Clinics of North America.

The issue is dedicated to Enhanced Recovery After Surgery, the focus of much of Chu’s research, and includes 16 articles from various authors and areas of research within ERAS.

“It was enlightening reading and learning from all the important contributions made by these expert authors,” Chu writes in the preface. “These authors, who represent a host of institutions with deep experience in enhanced recovery programs, provide a wide range of important perspectives on enhanced recovery and its principles.”
