The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery’s James George, Ph.D., recently received funding from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases of the National Institutes of Health in support of his project, “Mononuclear phagocytes in the pathogenesis of acute kidney injury.”
George and his team will receive $456,571 toward this project annually over the course of five years. The project will focus on the study of mononuclear phagocytes and how they develop following acute kidney injury.
