Director of the UAB Pancreatobiliary Disease Center and Assistant Professor in the Division of Surgical Oncology J. Bart Rose, M.D., MAS, recently served as the editor of the latest issue of Surgical Clinics of North America.

The April 2019 issue takes a comprehensive look at diseases of the biliary tract, an area that Rose has spent much of his professional medical career both studying and treating, and includes 15 articles from a number of other experts in this field.

“We hope that this is not only a review of current knowledge, but also highlights areas where data is lacking, thereby encouraging others to answer the unknown,” Rose writes in the issue’s preface. “I hope everyone who reads this finds it is fascinating and useful as I did.”
